Song Activity to practice talking About Childhood- Used To

Do you have a group of intermediate teens? Are you about to teach them used to to talk about their childhood memories? Here is an idea for you. I adapted from an activity designed by a talented workmate called Silvia Caldas. My students really enjoyed it. Have fun with them!

Activity - My Childhood
Aim Promote discussion on childhood memories as a pre writing activity.
Time 20'
Level Intermediate
Age group Teens

1. Go over the questions in pairs.

Have you heard the song He Wasn’t There? What is it about? Do you know who Lilly Allen is? What do you know about her? What do you think her childhood was like?Who do you think she’s singing to?
